Mental Health (81007-C2-¶162)
Add a new ¶ called Mental Health between current ¶¶ 162 G and 162 H.
Many people suffer from mental and psychological illnesses and conditions. We urge the Church to be in ministry for the people suffering from mental health problems. We call on the Church and the society to be sensitive to, and advocate for programs that ensures quality health care that enables people suffering from mental and psychological illnesses and conditions to live a life as full participants of the Church and the society.
Mental health is a challenge to today’s society, families and individuals. We need a separate paragraph on this issue, and not be in the 162 G) Rights of Persons with Disabilities paragraph as it is today. It is an increasing problem that needs relevant quality health care.
